can someone give their thoughts on the un attacking religion and the jw teaching, revelation harlot.

i have a newspaper article with the headline "un quietly wages war on religion" i talked with some reps from the un in my country and they were talking about religion and how it had to go etc.

it is a un mandate apparently, just has to be implemented.

propaganda I was referring to was UN stance on religion and how much they "like it" in the literature they publish, I am still investigating UN-WT connection which is a separate issue.

me and the JW's? same reason I am here, research, I like ALOT of info before i commit and I agree with all of you that JW's is alot of work and sacrifice, I too like my freedom. I have not made a decision either way.
I can't thank you all enough for the information you provide. I am reading it all and learning, I just cant' respond to all the posts, I have a business to run.

I need to make one thing clear once and for all, I do not read WT, I am not a JW, I only know what they preach, and have a very good understanding of the bible (if I blow my own horn)
I have defended the JW's here because based on MY personal research, they appear to be correct. I am HERE to get yet ANOTHER perspective. Got that?, you are all free to "deprogram" as you see fit.

Wars in the world now and have always been basically Religion based, makes sense the only way to have "peace and security" is to abolish religion on a world wide scale.

i was wondering if you have a response when you present stuff about pedo, un, rutherford, etc, and a jw says, "well they are imperfect people.. the last respons i got was, only jesus was ever the perfect channel of god - which of course i agree.. but it's like if you ever bring up anything about anything, the stock response is, "we'll it's an imperfect organization.... your response???.

ah hahaha

You are right, and I dont doubt there are tens of thousands of religions and that proves my point. If you were God would you make it so all creation had to "check out" 10, 20, 30,000 religions? Nope, you would inpire a book, prove with prophecy with 100% accuracy that "man" could not have written that book then watch to see who could twist it around and create that many "truths" from it.
I really doubt he made it that complicated.

I checked out the basic religions, and everybody knows someone will disagree with a teaching and start their own religion. thus you have thousands or groups teaching parts of this parts of that, based on doctrine and not the bible. And of course they all lead back to babylon.

I learned it myself when I saw hopocracy of religion, did research most of it was with 3 translations of the bible and it was only after that I realized the JW's knew what I knew.

What I have learned from most of you here is that it is really not the JW religion you dislike, the hatred seems to be towards Jehovah himslf.

You sound like a very nice person and I feel sorry that you had bad experiences with the "Human element" of the org. I am not a JW as I said but I personally know many of them, so I do know the "lingo" and have talked a great lengths with them and I have to tell you they to understand the bible more than anyone. To hear (in spite of the org mistakes) that these people I know have any malice in them, or that they are a member of yet another false religious organization is truely sad to me.

I have been on other posts and asked what I asked you.. there can only be one truth, one religion and if it is not the JW's then who is it? Where can you turn if you believe the bible is the word of God, know what it teaches who else (religious org) is even close to what is written?
People here write the alternative is "freedom", ah yes freedom, free to do what you want with no rules and no one to be accountable to, I think the devil was the originator of that idea.

From the time I have spent here I see over and over blasting the WTS. I dont understand why many here just dont leave the org and not bother spending the rest of their lives trying to save other people from the JW's.

Self righteous? who me? People like me that cause hurt? I know not about the ORG, nor have they DRILLED anything into me,
I am completely unbiased as I am not a JW. I was posting it is obvious to me they have the 
truth based on the research I did with unbiased literature. So seeing as I have no experience with
the "org" than that makes me undefiled in that respect?

I have never met a JW that thought he was better than anyone, they preach out of love, not
so they can vindicate themselves, is that what you did?

You have a problem with the organization? whats your alternative, stay home and study yourself? 
I have to ask your alternative.

If you are MY brother in the truth I should get baptized and you should go back pioneering and not 
hang out here with apostates.

Yikes, I happened upon this site by accident and after reading a few posts I can't believe you all have nothing better to do than slam JW's, get a life! I am guessing most of you are either x-jw's or related to one to have just enough knowledge to be stupid.
It is quite entertaining from my perpective.

As for me, I have studied every religion on the planet and there is no doubt JW are gods people. Just like every other human they are imperfect but compared to false religions members like yourselves...well there is no comparison.

Say what you like about them but fact will always remain, they are the MOST right of any organization that claims to have gods favor.
